The ninth Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ) and the third Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnvirroteQ) opened at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, exhibiting the latest agricultural technologies and the best innovations in sustainable development. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the exhibitions, which are organized by the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and run until March 14.
Sheikh Khalid visited the pavilions of the two exhibitions and was briefed on the most prominent modern technologies used in agriculture, food security, and environmental sustainability. The exhibitions are accompanied by local and international seminars and workshops, as well. Ministers, diplomats and state guests were in attendance.
On the sidelines of the event, Farhoud Hadi al-Hajri, Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, said the latest editions of AgriteQ and EnviroteQ saw an increase in the number of participants, which brought together more than 650 local and international businesses from the agriculture, food, and animal industries.
